Founders
Hello Everyone. You may know me as Cal, Dr. Lowe, or maybe even Calvis! As I look back at my life, I’m so grateful for good times spent with family and friends. But when I think of my 30 years as a practicing emergency medicine physician, I realize the years have taken their toll on me and the one thing I wish I could get back is time—time I didn’t get to spend with Peggy and our kids. I really paid the price and missed out on many special moments with them. So after a lot of careful thought, Peggy and I have decided to take a journey into multifamily apartment investing.
We’ve learned so much this past year from people who were tired of their W2 jobs, people like me who wanted more time with family or who just wanted more free time. We had some initial reservations but we’ve seen firsthand how passive income works hard, so we don’t have to! I’ve learned that I can actually retire much earlier than anticipated. Now I wish I had made the decision sooner!
We’d love to share with you all that we’ve learned. We’re announcing (drumroll here!) PEACEquity, our exciting new venture. The name has special meaning, as each letter is for our family: Peggy, Elizabeth, Austin, and me, Calvin. As the name suggests, we’re already experiencing peace as we keep learning more. We had tons of questions when we started, and we didn’t move forward until they were all answered. Steven Louie
Managing Partner
Steven is a Managing Partner at Vertical Street Ventures, where he is responsible for acquisitions, sourcing capital, and building key strategic partnerships. As the founder of Vertical Street Ventures, he focuses his time on revenue-generating activities for the firm through Multifamily real estate acquisitions. He has grown his Multifamily portfolio to over 3,000+ units across 4 states (AZ, CA, FL, TX) and has a keen focus on acquisitions and building key partner relationships across the market.
In his spare time, he enjoys the “need for speed” as he shifts gears around a race track. Steven also enjoys vacationing with his wife, Rebecca, and two daughters.
Jenny Gou
Managing Partner
Jenny is a Managing Partner at Vertical Street Ventures, which was established to help individuals achieve their financial goals through passive investing in real estate. As one of the Founders, she currently oversees Asset Management and Investor Relations. She focuses on Business Strategy and execution of the business plan as well as managing relationships and communications with investors. To date, Jenny has acquired a portfolio of over 1400+ units across AZ, TX, and GA.
Jenny graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Business Management and received her MBA from the University of Minnesota. She is married to her husband Ronnie and has 2.5 kids (furry one included).
